Message from our C.E.O

Dear Staff, Board, Volunteers, Friends and Partners,

Welcome to GLOFORD, where we are dedicated to empowering communities and transforming lives by inspiring and educating young people and the community. Our mission is clear: “To inspire and educate young people and the community through value-based leadership, talent development, entrepreneurship, sustainable farming, and community health to promote good governance, reduce poverty, and achieve a better quality of life for all.”

Our Vision: A Community Where Young People Have the Opportunities to Realize Their Full Potential.
Since our inception 2010, GLOFORD has envisioned a community where every young person has the opportunity to realize their full potential. We believe that by investing in education, health, and economic empowerment, we can create a brighter future for everyone. Our programs are designed to be inclusive, innovative, and impactful, ensuring that no one is left behind.

Mission: To Inspire and Educate
As we navigate the complexities of the modern world, we are guided by our core values, which define our work and behavior:

Core Mandate: Grooming the Next Generation of Leaders.
GLOFORD carries the mandate to contribute to grooming the next generation of leaders with a global perspective. We are dedicated to empowering youth and communities to fight poverty, ignorance, and disease sustainably. Through non-confrontational advocacy, we strive to build durable peace, promote human rights, democracy, good governance, and the rule of law.

Our Core Values.
Exemplary and No Excuse Leadership: We believe in responsibility, not explanations or blaming others for actions not taken. We inspire others to take action at all levels of self and society for change to happen. We lead by example and hold our leaders accountable to put their efforts where their words are.

Excellence: We are committed to offering high-value, state-of-the-art services that respond to the needs of our people. Excellence is at the heart of everything we do.

Accountability and Integrity: We are fully accountable for everything we say and do and seek to hold others accountable as well. Integrity guides our actions and decisions.

Innovation and Creativity: We strive to be innovative and creative, being dynamic, resourceful, and effective in an environment of stiff competition for scarce resources.

Trust and Honesty: We are driven by honesty and trustworthiness so that others can trust us in return, both in our words and actions.

People-Centered: Our “People-First” development philosophy ensures that everything we do prioritizes and centers around the people we serve.

Our Christian Foundational Creed.
GLOFORD Uganda is a not-for-profit transformation organization anchored on a Christian foundational creed inspired by Biblical teachings and instructions. Our work is driven by the teachings of Jesus Christ, who emphasized love, compassion, and service to others. As it is written in Matthew 22:37-39, Jesus said, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’” These principles guide our commitment to fostering communities where everyone is valued and supported.

In all our endeavors, we strive to embody the teachings of Micah 6:8, which states, “He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.” By aligning our actions with these scriptures, we aim to create a lasting impact that reflects the love and justice of Christ. Our dedication to this creed ensures that our programs are not only effective but also resonate with the deeper moral and spiritual needs of the communities we serve.

At GLOFORD, we are inspired by the strength and potential of the communities we serve. Every day, we witness incredible stories of courage and determination, which fuel our passion and drive us to do more. We are proud of the progress we have made, but we also recognize that there is still much work to be done.

I invite you to explore our website to learn more about our programs, impact, and how you can get involved. Together, we can make a difference and build a future where everyone has the opportunity to succeed.

Thank you for your continued support and partnership.

Warm regards
