Partnership Overview
PEPFAR has been one of Gloford's most significant funding partners since 2018. Through PEPFAR support, we have expanded our HIV/AIDS testing, prevention, and treatment referral services to seven additional districts in northern and eastern Uganda.
Partnership Details
- Duration: 2018 — present (multi-year, renewable)
- Focus areas: HIV/AIDS testing and counseling, prevention of mother-to-child transmission (PMTCT), community-based adherence support, and health systems strengthening
- Geographic scope: Northern Uganda (Gulu, Lira, Kitgum) and Eastern Uganda (Jinja, Soroti, Mbale, Iganga)
- Key achievements: Over 45,000 HIV tests facilitated, 3,200 PMTCT referrals completed, 22 health facility partnerships established
PEPFAR's support has enabled us to recruit and train 25 additional community health workers, procure rapid testing supplies, and establish a robust monitoring and evaluation system that tracks treatment outcomes across all service delivery points.
