Dear staff, volunteers, friends and Partners,
I extend warm greetings to you on behalf of the GLOFORD Board of Directors. Since our inception in 2010, GLOFORD has been steadfast in its commitment to transforming communities and empowering Uganda’s youth. Guided by our Christian foundational creed and bolstered by the unwavering support of our partners and stakeholders, we have achieved significant milestones and made a tangible impact. Together, we have created an environment where young people can flourish, and our collective efforts have yielded remarkable results, thanks to the dedication and hard work of our team and the communities we serve.
As we reflect on our achievements, we approach the future with renewed enthusiasm and a clear strategic vision. Our five-year Strategic Development Plan (2023-2028), supported by the GIZ Civil Society in Uganda Support Programme funded by the European Union and the German Government, aims to empower 400,000 individuals, with a focus on youth and young people. By 2028, we envision a community where empowered youth actively shape the development agenda in the Lango and Northern regions. This ambitious plan, structured around six Core Strategic Program Areas, underscores our holistic approach to addressing governance, health, education, and poverty alleviation.
The Board of Directors remains steadfast in its commitment to guiding GLOFORD toward achieving these objectives. We will continue to uphold our core values of exemplary and no excuse leadership, excellence, integrity and accountability, innovation and creativity, and a people-centered approach in all our endeavors. Inspired by the teachings of Jesus Christ, we are driven to serve with love, compassion, and integrity. We are immensely grateful for your unwavering support and partnership, and we eagerly anticipate collaborating with you to effect lasting positive change in our communities. Together, let us strive to create a future where every young person has the opportunity to thrive and contribute to a more just and equitable world.
