World Environment Day 2026: Taking Action for a Greener Future
By Administrator

As the world marks World Environment Day, GLOFORD Uganda reaffirms its commitment to environmental conservation and sustainable development through community-driven initiatives that create lasting impact.
Through the Her Voice Project, we have supported the reclamation of Okole Swamp, contributing to the restoration of a vital ecosystem and promoting environmental stewardship within communities.
Through the Wealth from Waste Project, we continue to empower individuals and groups to embrace recycling, reuse, and innovative waste management practices that transform waste into economic opportunities.
Our Safe and Inclusive Cities Project further advances environmental sustainability by supporting youth-led greening initiatives, empowering young people to take an active role in creating cleaner, healthier, and more resilient communities.
This World Environment Day reminds us that protecting our planet requires collective action. Together, we can restore ecosystems, reduce waste, empower communities, and build a greener future for generations to come.
Protect Nature. Empower Communities. Build a Greener Future.
