Ayer Susan Ongom is a Co-Founder and Board member of GLOFORD Uganda. She is an educationist with professional specialties in rural micro finance management and rural development.
Susan has worked with different organizations prior and after founding GLOFORD. She has at least 7 years’ experience working with communities to fight poverty with specialty in Village Savings and Loan Association (VSLA) programming and Rural Micro Finance management. Other areas of experience, interest and expertise include, Gender mainstreaming, Livelihoods, project planning and management. She has gained wealth of experience working with USAID-Livelihoods & Enterprises for Agricultural Development (LEAD) project, Catholic Relief Services, Development Training and Research organization, Facilitation For Peace and Development.
She is an astute woman advocate and emancipator whose dreams for the girl child is unquenchable. To date she aspires to see GLOFORD champion the girl child programming which empowers the young generation to become equitable actors that respect women’s contribution to development at all levels.
