My name is SSENKINGA AMON. I am an open-minded person who likes taking on tasks that challenge me. This enables me to always learn new concepts and ways of solving different problems. I continuously build my capacity and learn from friends and mentors to stay updated with the ever-changing world of Information and Communication Technology.

WORK EXPERIENCE

Currently, I am working as an ICT and Digitalization Officer at GLOFORD-Uganda in Lira. Before I joined GLOFORD, I worked as an IT Technician at Fiber Joint Limited in Wandegeya, Kampala. I also worked as an Intern IT Technician at Lira University in Lira.

EDUCATION

I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Lira University in Lira, Uganda. I also hold a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification from Makerere University in Kampala, Uganda.

KEY COMPETENCIES

I am passionate about networking (LAN, WLAN, and WAN), fiber optic cable splicing, CCTV camera installation and maintenance, operating systems use and installation, computer hardware and software, website design and maintenance, Microsoft Office 365, printer installation and maintenance, graphics design, IT support, and general troubleshooting.

COMPLETED PROJECTS

1. Developed a website for GLOFORD-Uganda (gloford.org).
2. Installed a surveillance camera system at GLOFORD-Uganda office.
3. Installed a time and attendance machine at Lira City Office.
4. Installed LAN systems at DFCU Bank head office in Nakasero, Kampala; Catholic Relief Services (CRS) office in Nsambya, Kampala; and Target Link office in Nalya, Kampala.
5. Installed and configured a surveillance camera system at SRHR building Lira University
