GLOFORD is partnering with Mt.Meru and Just Hope International to mobilize, engage, equip/retool 2,500 smallholder farmers to fight poverty through Village Transformation model through which SHFs are organized in to farmer managed groups. Currently, the partnership is promoting the production of organic soy bean farming in Kole, Alebtong and Lira districts. Through this partnership, the soy bean value chain challenges have been addressed and this effort is poised to move 100% of the targeted farmers into the money economy with 90% estimate to cross into the middle income by 2020.

The post harvest handling will soon be history because farmers being reached will be organized and empowered to handle the post harvest processes with facilitation and linkages from GLOFORD Uganda
