Teddy Awino

Accountant

Hello, I’m Vicky Awino.
I’m a detail-oriented and results-driven finance professional with strong expertise in budgeting, financial reporting, tax compliance, and donor financial management. Over the years, I’ve built a solid track record of ensuring compliance with both donor and statutory requirements while supporting organizational financial health and sustainability.
My professional journey:
Before joining GLOFORD, I worked as a Finance Officer at Mercy Corps Uganda (2021–December 2024), where I focused on financial reporting, grant management, tax compliance, and audit coordination. Prior to that, I served as a Finance Assistant at Seohyun Foundation (2018–2020), managing payrolls, budgets, and financial reconciliations. I also started my career as a Credit Officer at BRAC Uganda Microfinance (2016–2018), where I gained valuable experience in financial analysis and client portfolio management.
My key strengths include:

Preparing donor and organizational financial reports.
Managing tax obligations (VAT, PAYE, WHT, NSSF, LST) and ensuring compliance with URA regulations.
Coordinating audits and strengthening internal financial controls.
Supporting teams with budget planning, expenditure tracking, and financial forecasting.
Upholding safeguarding and ethical standards in all financial operations.

Education:
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Makerere University Business School and I’m currently pursuing my CPA II certification with the Institute of Chartered Public Accountants of Uganda.
I’m passionate about accuracy, integrity, and continuous improvement—values that align perfectly with GLOFORD’s commitment to accountability, transparency, and service excellence. I’m excited to contribute to enhancing our financial systems and ensuring compliance with both donor and statutory obligations.
