Mr. Samson Kiseka Omara is a key member of the GLOFORD Management Team (GMT), serving as the Program Manager for Integrated Health. As a seasoned public health professional, he has extensive experience in planning and implementing health systems strengthening and integrated community family health projects. His expertise covers a wide range of thematic areas, including Maternal, Neonatal, Child and Adolescent Health (MNCAH), Sexual and Reproductive Health/Family Planning, Nutrition, HIV Care, TB, and WASH.
Samson’s career includes significant roles with both international and national organizations. At Marie Stopes International, he successfully planned and implemented family planning services under the Dedicated Service Provider model to strengthen health systems in public sector facilities. Additionally, he served as a family planning provider and mentor with Marie Stopes Uganda and as a Regional Coach/Mentor for integrated family health services with USAID RHITES North Acholi, supporting eight districts in the sub-region. He also worked as the Project Coordinator with FASBEC under the Pathfinder Uganda Family Planning Activity in Gomba and Butambala Districts, and as the MNCH/FP Technical Officer with FASBEC under RHITES North Lango in Alebtong, Dokolo, and Amolatar Districts.
Passionate about community engagement, Samson is dedicated to developing localized solutions and fostering community participation in problem-solving.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from Lira University and a diploma in Nursing from St. Mary’s Hospital Lacor School of Nursing and Midwifery. His professional development includes numerous short courses and trainings in areas such as Implementation Research for Infectious Diseases, Child Health Immunization (REC/RED), Basic Family Planning, Adolescent Reproductive Health, Medical Emergency Management, HIV Testing Services (counseling, testing, treatment, and support), Pediatric HIV Care, Emergency Obstetrical Care (EmOC), and Nutritional Assessment, Counseling, and Support.
