Addressing Climate Change

GLOFORD Uganda, through its Her Voice project, is actively addressing climate change by engaging local communities in sustainable practices. During the celebration of International Forest Day, the project marked a significant milestone with a tree-planting initiative in Ngetta and Ayago in Lira City East Division. This event brought together community members and local leaders, including the town clerk, to plant trees as a symbol of their commitment to environmental conservation.

The Her Voice project aims to amplify the voices of women and youth in climate action, promoting awareness and encouraging active participation in preserving the environment. By involving the community in tree planting, GLOFORD Uganda is fostering a sense of ownership and responsibility towards the environment, ensuring that the efforts towards combating climate change are inclusive and community-driven. This initiative not only enhances the green cover but also serves as an educational tool, highlighting the importance of trees in mitigating climate change and improving local ecosystems.
