Eng. Wilfred Okello is one of the Founder members of GLOFORD Uganda. He is a Civil Engineer with extensive experience in planning and implementation of community infrastructural development projects, Rural Water supply, water governance, low cost water and sanitation, Hygiene Promotion methodologies, and advocacy.

Eng. Wilfred attained vast experience working with Premiere Urgence, ZOA and World Vision Uganda; where he planned and implemented a number of humanitarian and community development infrastructural projects. He is passionate about serving the community especially in engaging the community to develop a localized solution with willingness of the community to participate in solving the problem.

Eng. Wilfred also worked with Geotech engineering& Trading Company Limited an Engineering firm that was contracted to work with many Humanitarian Organizations in emergency response to Northern Uganda’s Lord Resistance Army Humanitarian Crisis. He planned and constructed many point water sources and piped water sources with contracts from Uganda Red Cross Society, CESVI, COOPI, German Agro Action, Mercy Corps, Medicins San Frontiers etc.

Eng. Wilfred Okello holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Civil and Building Engineering from Kyambogo University. He is currently doing a research for award of Master of Science degree in Water and Sanitation from Uganda Christian University. In addition, Eng. Wilfred has had several post graduate trainings which includes Project Performance Management, Finance Management for non-finance Managers all from Uganda Management Institute. He completed PMDPro1 (Project Management for Development Professionals) with APMG –UK (Association of Project Management Group-United Kingdom) and other specialized training in Geographic Information Systems(GIS) from Water Resource Training Centre-Egypt.

Wilfred’s leadership trail began with being a Christian Leader at Christian Union of Kyambogo University and later on in Victory Outreach Church where he currently plays a big role in Marriage ministry as well as in planning and development ministry.

Eng. Wilfred Okello is the Water and Sanitation Specialist at Ministry of Water and Environment and provides leadership to GLOFORD Uganda in the capacity of Chairman Board of Directors.
